The ebédlő is the largest chamber on the ground floor of Kaer Morhen. For a place with such an unassuming purpose, there is a lot of action which takes place within its confines. It is where Vesemir can be found for most of the Prológus (he does occasionally wander over to the konyha). It is where Geralt usually learns about witcherek, főzetek, meditating, and often where he gets his first set of páncél és his Witcher kardja. The battle against the mage, Savolla also takes place here.
